Shannon began her career as a pupil support assistant but quickly discovered her calling in residential child care. For over 20 years she supported children with complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Along the way, she gained an HNC in Social Care, SVQs, and a Diploma in Childhood Studies — and continues to learn and grow in her practice.
Kylie holds a degree in psychology and has more than 15 years’ experience working with people. Her career has spanned the NHS — including secure mental health settings and delivering wellbeing programmes — into the third sector, and more recently into policing.
It was within the Muirhead Outreach Project, a local third sector organisation, that Shannon and Kylie first met. There, they recognised a shared set of values and a common vision for training that makes a real difference. Their partnership is built on complementary strengths: Shannon is curious and courageous, while Kylie is creative and considered. Both are united by compassion, integrity, and a love of learning.
